Why You Are Rotarian?

Why You Are Rotarian?

My Colleagues in Service:

Rotary develops character and brings out the best of the human spirit. It teaches people
ethics, humanity, cultural awareness, people skills and the desire and the ability to serve others.Rotary creates a more positive environment for promoting world understanding and peace.
Rotary always benefits two people. The child who is sick, who is hungry, who is thirsty, who has no clothes. No shelter, no education, no future, no hope ...that child is a beneficiary of Rotary's outreach. That child is Rotary's business.
But another benefits comes to the Rotarian - the one actually providing the service. The Rotarian grows and fulfills the real reason for his or her existence, which is to serve others. The Rotarian becomes an emotionally and spiritually healthier person, a better professional, a better father or mother, a better citizen, a better human being.
Yet there are millions of men and women around the world who are Rotarian at heart but who have never joined because of simple reason -they haven't been asked. There are many benefits of joining Rotary and being a Rotarian. Some of them are :
PROFESSIONAL NETWORKING: A founding principal of Rotary was to provide a forum for professional and business leaders. Members are leaders in business, industry, the professions, the arts, government, sports, the military and religion. They make decisions and influence policy.

Rotary is the oldest, most prestigious service club-organization in the world.
THE OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE: Rotarians provide service at both the community and international levels. Service programs address health care needs, hunger and poverty, illiteracy, disaster relief and environment cleanups, to name a few. Members experience the fulfillment that comes from giving back to the community.
PERSONAL GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT: Membership in Rotary ensures continuing personal and professional development. Leadership, public speaking and communication, organization and planning, team building, fund raising and teaching are just a sampling of skills that can be exercised and enhanced through Rotary.

Today, with about 31,345 Rotary Clubs in over 164 countries with 1.23 millions of its members, Rotarians have friends wherever they go. Rotary helps to build community as well as enduring friendship.
CULTURAL DIVERSITY: Rotary International is an association of local clubs in many countries. Clubs are open to members of every ethnic group, political persuasion, language and religious belief. Rotary club contain a cross-section of the world's leaders. They practice and promote tolerance.
