SCRIPT 2011 (Social & Corporate Responsibility International Promotional Theater) is an International short film festival scheduled at at 0930 AM at Fine Arts Hall, Kochi on 28-29 Jan 2011. This is a film festival with a difference. The festival focuses on short films pertaining to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Social Issues only – a niche film festival and the first of its kind being held in India.
The festival is an initiative of It is a project of Rotary International District 3201 covering parts of Kerala and Tamil Nadu and is organized by the Rotary Club of Cochin Metropolis
The short films are based on the following issues / topics / categories or other broadly similar concerns: World peace, Climate change, Preserve Planet Earth, Environment, Clean water, International understanding and goodwill, Population issues, Urban concerns, Health and Hunger, Senior Citizens, Literacy and numeracy, Children at risk, Child mortality, Education and homeless children, Migration, Disabled persons, emotional issues, new avenues, etc (FOCUSSED ON ROTARY COMMUNITY SERVICES)
The Inauguration is on Friday 28th January at 9.30 hrs at FINE ARTS HALL . The film festival has 4 main categories - STUDENTS, INTERNATIONAL , PROFESSIONAL FILM MAKERS' and CORPORATES.
Around 38 movies will be screened in Fine Arts Hall on 28th and 29th.
The AWARDS' CEREMONY - The GOLDEN HALO AWARDS - will be organised at the GOKULAM CONVENTION CENTRE on 29th evening at 6.30 pm . This glittering function will also witness the FIRST EVER ROTARY - BINANI CSR AWARDS being given away , and will be followed by Fellowship and Dinner.

NO fee WILL BE charged to participate in SCRIPT 2011. To foster inclusivity and reach, the festival is free, both for filmmakers screening their films and audiences viewing them, subject to registration. Spot registration is possible at the venue also.
